Gardening in Colorado

Ah, June…the sun is finally shining after lots of rainfall! The grass is green, the trees are blooming and it’s time for gardening! Our patients have quite the green thumbs as reflected by the pictures below and several of our patients are volunteers at the Evergreen Garden Club (http://www.evergreengardenclub.org) which does phenomenal work to beautify our public gardens including the Bergen Park Roundabout, the Hiwan Homestead Museum and the Evergreen Post Office to name a few!

The Evergreen Community Garden, located by the Buchanan Rec Center, offers locals a place to grow vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers for their families in their own garden plot. A summer Junior Master Gardener Certificate program will be held for 3rd-5th graders at the Evergreen Community Garden during June and July.
